    KPC and British Council Rounds off " Reading Challenging " Program.


    The Korea Palestine Center organized a ceremony for wrapping-up the program of " Reading Challenging ". The program which was executed through the  British Council, was carried out in both KPC and Child Happiness Center. The warp- up ceremony was in the attendance of Mr. Alan Smart OBE, the British Council Director, Mr. Mahmoud Abu Sbeih, Director of the Cultural and Youth Activities Department, Ms. Malak Abu Meizar, Director of the British Council Office in Hebron, as well as Mr. Said Khatieb, KPC Director.
     
    Mr. Abu Sbeih conveyed the regards of Hebron's Municipal Council chaired by Hebron's Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatari, and accentuated that organizing activities regarding the women and youth sectors is on the priorities of Hebron's Council. He also lauded the friendly relation between Hebron Municipality and the British Council, which's positively enhances students' level of education particularly in the English courses. He then rounded off his speech by thanking the British Council and the KPC staff for their much appreciated support to the completion of the program.  
     
    On his part,  Mr. Smart expressed happiness for the British Council fruitful cooperation with Hebron Municipality, stressing the necessity of improving children as well as youth level of education, as they are considered as the main core of the Palestinian community. He also thanked Hebron Municipality For its exerting efforts to the project success. 
     
    Ms. Abeer Nazer,  the Project Coordinator, thanked Hebron Municipality for embracing the project inside its affiliated social center. She also praised the positive stance of the participants' parents for their interest  to enhance their children' life skills. Thereafter, she gave a talk about the noticeable change in the students' performance before and after the execution of the project, touching on the approaches used to improve the language skills, such as usage of the five sense and distance learning. She then mentioned  the big number of participants from different areas, and thanked Ms. Aseel Shaheen for her efforts exerted in the program.
     
    It is worth mentioning that the KPC graduated around 55 students aged between 11-16. Throughout the ceremony, many shows were performed by the students which won the audiences' admiration and satisfaction.
