    Dr. Zatari Discusses Cooperation Opportunities with Belgium and Finland's Representatives


     In the meeting with Dr. Martti Eirola, Representative from Representative Office Of Finland to the Palestinian Authority, and Bruno Yanes, Belgium Consul from Consulate General of Belgium inJeruslame, Dr. Zatari highlighted on the necessary of joint cooperation and the opportunity of partnership between Hebron and cities of Belgium and Finland.

    After welcoming, Dr. Zatari expressed his happiness for the delegation visit to Hebron, and spoke about Hebron, its division into H1 and H2, its geography and history, the Old City and the suffering of inhabitants due to occupation measures and practices as well as the closing down of Al- Shuhada' Street under the pretext of protecting settlers.
     
    Dr. Zatai referred to services provided by the municipal efforts aimed at enhancing the city conditions, and commended the role of European stance regarding the Palestinian Cause well as the settlement activity. Then, Dr. Zatari called to promote ties with Belgium and Finland's Cities through signing Twinning Agreements.
     
    On his part, Consul Jones expressed his readiness to further cooperation and enhance ties with Hebron Municipality in terms of technical and Information Technology sectors, in addition to held conferences gathered between Palestinian and European Businessmen.
     
    By the end of the meeting, a Palestinian panel of embroidery expressed the Palestinian Folklore was presented to the delegation.  
     
    Another meeting was held with Fiona McCluney, the Head of UN-habitant in Palestine, to discuss the finalizing touches regarding the Vocational Center of King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz's charitable housing which seeks at serving Palestinian widows. Hebron Mayor also called for further implementation of developmental projects such the project of King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz to ensure a decent living condition for Hebron's civilians particularly the needies.
