    Hebron Municipality and AFD Agree to Execute more Joint Projects


    The Mayor of Hebron Dr. Daoud Zatari discussed the opportunity of implementing more joint projects well as promoting mutual cooperation with French Agency for Development (AFD). Dr. Zatari was speaking at a meeting with Bruno Juet, AFD Mission's Director in Gaza and West bank who was accompanied by Helene Willart, AFD Project Officer, in presence of Hebron Municipality's General Manager, Maher Owaiwi.
     
    Dr. Zatari made discussions on the municipal executed projects and highlighted on the Municipality's trends aim at enhancing the services provided to citizens thus improving the municipal cadres' capabilities. He furthermore stressed on Hebron's needs for more support to sectors of Sports, Health and Education, expressing his appreciation and gratitude for AFD in the context of making funds available to support the Water Treatment Plant Project.
     
    Thereafter, the mayor noted to joint projects among Tareq Bin Ziad Center, Hebron Municipality's Facility, and FSJT on which play main role in enhancing Hebron's southern area where many Israeli obstructions and inhuman practices have been committed against the locals. 
     
    Mr. Juet thanked the municipal staff for warm reception and hospitality and underlined the close ties between Hebron and many France's Cities, promoting the cooperation between both AFD and Hebron Municipality. He then added that AFD is seeking to support Palestine's different sectors to ensure a decent living condition for citizens in addition to alleviate the plight and suffers of the Palestinians.
     
    By the end of the meeting, both delegations exchanged symbolic gifts.
