Hebron Municipality which is represented by the Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari and the Municipal dedicated team of World Electronic Government ORganization, participated in the annual meeting of WeGO's Board of Director that held in Istanbul –Turkey.
During the meeting, many issued were discussed such as the administrative and financial reports of 2016, the work plan for the next year, as well as the opportunity of involving local society in the private sector as it will enhance the performance of governments and municipalities. Also, they agreed to held different training courses regarding the electronic government.
Dr. Zatari underlined that the participation of the Municipality in the international activities will enable Hebron City to be showed on the map of the technologies and smart cities around the World, also will support Hebron Municipality’s efforts to inscribe Hebron on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in order to safeguard its heritage and prevent its alteration by the Israeli occupation.
It is worth mentioning that the WeGO consists of more than 30 Countries, and Hebron Municipality occupies the position of Deputy Chairman of the WeGO's Board of Directors.
