Hebron Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari met Bahraini Feminist delegation chaired by Sheikha Mariam Bint Khalifa Director of Mother and Child Care Association who was accompanied by Rehab Abd-alqader Palestinian Ambassadress in Bahrain to get a first-hand view of the city's reality on the ground and of Palestinian's daily suffering due to Israeli Occupation's practices.

 

Dr. Zatari expressed his happiness and thankfulness for the role played by Bahrain's Government and people in supporting Palestinians and defending their rights, and then spoke about Israeli Occupation which go against all international treaties and laws.

Dr. Zatari also gave a detailed presentation on Hebron, its history and political condition, the Old City and the suffering of inhabitants due to occupation measures and practices, well as division the city and unjustly  building of outposts . " We are quite determined to stay and safeguard our lands despite occupation and settlers' violations and we underlined the need for a fair and just peace and the creation of a fully sovereign Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital". he added 

Bint Khalifa and the accompanied delegation expressed their sympathies and soreness for locals' suffering, and denied occupation measures and practices such barriers, violations and settlements, adding " we are keen for many visits to Palestine to support people and being in solidarity with them".
