    Governor of Apulia: We Reject Restrictions enforced on Palestinian Freedom of Movement


     Nichi Vndola, President of Apulia and President of Left Ecology Freedom, underlined that he is enraged when Palestinians being restricted to practice freedom on their land, and that inevitably touched Freedom-loving people and anybody with a conscious, and said "there will never be peace negotiations with the continuity of the Israeli Occupation and Settlements". He also added that the Palestinian reconciliation well as President Abbas's speech about the holocaust was an evidence on Palestinian Leeadership towards achieving peace.

    The discussion was made in the attendance of Dr. Daoud Zatrai, Hebron Mayor, who was accompanied by members from Hebron's Municipal Council and Mayor's assistants, in addition to a high-level Italian delegation comprised of Arturo Scotto, Gennaro Migliore, the head of Parliamentary Caucus, Francesco Martone from the Department of Foreign Relations, David la Cecilia, the Italian Consul as well as " Luisa Margntina, former Vice President of the Italian Parliament.
     
    Dr. Zatari spoke about the Italian- Palestinian deep ties and stressed the role played by the Italian People and Government in supporting politically and economically the Palestinian cause and People. He also referred to the twinning agreements signed between Hebron Municipality and many Italian cities in the contexts of enhancing the city conditions such projects regards the alternative solar energy, Water Sector as well as the project of the Technology park.
     
    Dr. Zatari then called the delegation to Facilitating access for Palestinian exports to European and Italian markets, to be substitute of the settlements goods which are boycotted by many countries of the European Union particularly by Italy as it goes against the international treaties.
     
    After exchanging the symbolic gifts, the visited delegation then toured the Old City where they visited Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and areas adjacent to settlements in order to get a first-hand view of the reality on the ground and of Palestinian suffering.
