    Dr. Zatari meets a delegation of representatives of the Palestinian communities in Europe


     Dr. Dauod Zatari mayor of Hebron met on the 4th of July a delegation of representatives of Palestinian communities in Europe, headed by 'Ahmed Issa’ a member of the General Union of Palestinian Communities in Europe, who came from Austria, Hungary, Spain, Great Britain, Slovakia and Spain, in the presence of Ahmed Shrouf from the Office of the President for public relations.

     
    Dr. Zaatari welcomed the delegation and expressed his pleasure to their visit. The Mayor explained about the history and geography of the city, the services provided by the municipality of Hebron to the citizens and the stages through which the municipality went through over the past years.
     
    The Mayor illustrated the suffering and the difficulties that the population face as a result of the procedures of the Israeli occupation authorities and the presence of settlers in the city, explaining the difficulties of life, the barriers that surround the town, and the continued closure of Shuhada Street, noting its importance economically, pointing out that the occupation authorities closed all the shops located in the street.
     
    Dr Zatari explained the political situation in the city due to its division into two areas 'H1’ and 'H2’, explaining the difficulties of life in the southern region (H2) due to the control of the Israeli authorities, stressing the difficulty faced by the crews of the municipality in the performance of work as a result of the obstacles and difficulties that prevent them from providing full service to residents.
     
    Dr. Zaatari stated that they will stay in their land, and will achieve their dream of liberation of Palestine and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, believing that the occupation will end.
     
    "Ahmed Issa" thanked the mayor of Hebron for their hospitality and reception, expressing his happiness and pleasure to visit his homeland.
    Issa stated that during his tour in the old town of Hebron and despite the barriers, settlers, closures and the obstacles facing the town's residents, he could see the optimist and smile in the faces of the children and the old residents. Adding that he would convey the message and the suffering he saw in Palestine and especially in Hebron to the countries and cities of the world.
