A delegation of Hebron Municipality visited the Municipality of Saint Pierre Des Corps with a view to deepen ties with the municipality and other French institutions. The municipal delegation was comprised of the Councilor Muhammad Imran Qawasmi, the Councilor Qais Da'na as well as Bilal Muhtaseb, Employee at Hebron Municipality Public Relations.
The Councilor Qawasmi conveyed the regards of Hebron Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatari and spoke about the mayor trends in enhancing the level of international cooperation between Hebron Municipality and other world institutions. He then spoke about Hebron City by defining it as the second oldest city in the world, and touched on the Israeli Occupation's violent practices and measures that have been perpetrated against the innocent civilians of Hebron City and its Old City.
While the delegation meeting with Ballon Municipality, they discussed the importance of the Fire Brigade in Hebron, and underlined the municipality need to Hydraulic Ladder to provide services to the 12-floors buildings. Also, they discussed the opportunity of build cooperation and hold training courses to enhance the capabilities of Hebron municipality firemen.
Moreover, the delegation then met with France-Palestine Association which focuses on attracting the Public Opinion towards supporting the Palestine's Cause and people, and on coordinating youth visits to Palestine to get a view of the reality on the ground.
The Councilor Dr. Da'na underlined Hebron Municipality's willingness to receive the visiting delegations as this kind of visit will contribute in sharing experiences and culture between the both sides.
