    Hebron Mayor and the Spanish Consul Open the Photo Exhibition "From Qurtuba to Cordoba"


    The Mayor of Hebron Dr. Daoud Zatari and the Spanish General Consul, Juan Stemmann opened the Photo Exhibition titled (From Qurtuba to Cordoba). The Exhibition which was held at Children Happiness Center was also attended by Isidro Gonzalez Alfonso, Spanish Vice-Consul, Hebron's Municipal Council Members and other Local Institutions. 
     
    After the ribbon-cutting Ceremony, the Consul Stemmann  spoke in detailed about Cordoba's displayed photos, and added " in 1994, Cordoba City was declared to be considered as a human heritage reflected the deep-rooted Arab-Muslims history, and the increasing of Cordoba's urban development during the Umayyad Period such the construction of the Architectural Complex of Madinat Al-Zahra  , which clearly showed more Arabic Architecture advanced , conduct it to become one of the most important urban centers in the world.
     
    The Exhibition also highlights the City's Urban Archaeology as a witness on the city's rootage many years ago, such the towers, the lighthouses, the City's doors even the bathrooms.
     
    The Exhibition was initially opened at Jerusalem, then moved to be opened in Hebron, due to the joint efforts between the Arabic House and the Spain's General Consulate in Jerusalem.
     
    Dr. Zatari as well expressed his admiration of the photos' historical significance and called Hebron's inhabitants to have a view on the held exhibition. He also expressed his thankfulness to the exerted efforts in achieving such this work.
     
    It's worth mentioning that the Exhibition still held at the Children Happiness Center, which opens its doors all day except Friday from 10:00 to 03:00 till Monday's evening 13\04\2014.
