At the invitation of Hebron Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatrai, a meeting which was attended by Municipalities Mayor of Hebron Governorate, Representatives of MOLG as well as Representatives of Hebron Governorate, held at Hebron Municipality with a view to discuss the political condition resulting from the security Campaign of the Israeli Occupation on the Governorate of Hebron that has been continued over nine consecutive days, and to ensure the conncetion between the municipalities to cover the local needs.
On behalf of the attendance , Dr. Zatari conveyed regards to the detainees whom have been on hunger-strike since 59 days, affirming the Palestinians total support to their cause despite the violation on human and economic capacities by the Israeli Occupation.
"The Municipal Councils represent the Local Government on the ground" said the mayor, adding that it is necessary to enhance a joint cooperation and coordination between the municipalities to assure a rapid response and to raise readiness level to cope with emergency cases.
Dr. Zatari underlined the necessity of strengthen media role in the local institutions in which ensure conveying the reality of Israeli practices that violating the Palestinians rights through the international media.
The attendance then agreed on many issues regarding the political condition such as forming a joint council to be weekly hold, also, in emergency cases, forming a committee to represent both sectors of educations and health to be considered as a link between People and Government, in addition to urgency regardless to entitlements of municipalities, especially in light of the difficult situation, as it affects people steadfastness.
