In the meeting with Dr. Shaddad Attili, Head of the Palestinian Water Authority, and Bruno Juet, AFD Director, Dr. Daoud Zatari referred to the necessity of increasing Hebron's share in water quantity.
The meeting was also comprised of Hebron's Municipal Council Members, Sanitation and Water Engineers.
Dr. Zatari underlined the deep pressure on the Municipal Council as a result of sever water shortage in the City of Hebron particularly in the summer time. Despite the sound management of water quantity distribution, the water crisis isn't drastically Terminated, added the mayor

Dr. Zatari also highlighted the municipal trends towards rehabilitation of Al-fawwar well with a view to increase the quantity of water allocated to the city that could amount to 3000 m3, and asked Minister Attili to take serious steps to resolving the scarce water quantities.
On his part, Minister Attili lauded the municipal efforts to rehabilitate Al-fawwar well, adding that Al-sha'ar Well will be operated in the coming few days, so 1200 meters cubes will approximately be allocated to the City of Hebron.
A tour was then made to Wadi Al-ghrous, which is located in eastern area of the city, surrounded by Settlements and has suffered of continuous closing down as well as of water shortage. The both sides then agreed to resolve the water crisis as soon as possible in order to reinforce the civilians' steadfastness against Israeli measures aimed at displacing people.
