Hebron Municipality has declared Thursday as of 6 p.m the ending of the Emergency Case in which remained about a week that came as a result of receiving various warnings from the Meteorological for the weather episode. All employees’ vacations were canceled and more than 100 employees were called to work around the clock without finite hours, as well as intensive preparation for an Operation Room to deal with emergency cases.

 

Mr. Maher Owaiwi the General Manager of Hebron Municipality gave a detailed presentation focuses on the work of the Operation Room well as  weather episode’s losses and achievements at the session chaired by Hebron Mayor and Municipal Council Members in the presence of Operation Room staff. Mr. Owaiwi underlined that more than 46 mechanisms and bulldozers, 9D bulldozers, “ Bob Cat “ bulldozers , Tractors , Perfusion Tankers, Emergency Vehicles, SUV’s, in addition to rent more than 26 mechanisms were used to deal with weather episode’s emergency cases.

 

Moreover, Mr. Owaiwi added that a feasibility study on sites, in which expected to endanger, were being taken in to consideration in order to have appropriate precautions for locals’ safety. Additionally, many Awareness Bulletins include public safety and Rationalization of electricity consumption were directed to Inhabitants.

 

Regarding to weather episode’s losses, Mr. Owaiwi said that Municipal technical committee estimated Hebron Municipality’s losses exceeded  10 million, however, the pre-planning and the sound management of Municipal Staff well as Mayor’s efforts and directives  were main reasons to safeguard citizens’ lives regardless the financial losses of Hebron Municipality.

 

Thereafter, Mr. Owaiwi lauded Hebron Municipality staff who had worked around the clock to serve citizens needs , wished a recovery for whom injured during their works in the weather episode , underlining that Hebron Mayor will honor the Municipal Staff whom worked at the Operation Room .
