Hebron Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari met today with Dr. Antonio La Rocca, PMSP Program Manager, with a view to enhancing cooperation and launching new projects and agreements between the Italian Government and Hebron Municipality. The meeting was attended by Mr. Maher Owaiwi, General Manager of Hebron Municipality and Mr. AllamAshhab, Mayor’s Assistant and General Manager of International Cooperation.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Zatari stressed the importance of cooperation with Italian Municipalities in the fields of water, sanitation, and alternative energy resources. He also highlighted technical and administrative advances achieved by the municipality thanks to the exchange of experience, mutual visits and financial support for ongoing and future projects. Moreover, Dr. Zatari underlined the success of projects developed through joint ventures with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens especially in the field of Water and Sanitation.

 

Dr. La Rocca spoke about the numerous meetings held with Italian cities, mainly Genoa and Turin, to enhance ties and cooperation with Hebron Municipality as well as to identify mechanisms to ensure the success of joint projects proposed through the development institution of municipalities of Italian Cooperation.

Participants also discussed mutual projects concerning alternative energy resources, sanitation and cooperation agreements with Turin Municipality.
