Many representatives of Hebron Governorate institutions visited Hebron Municipality to be in solidarity with the Mayor and the Councilors of Hebron after the incident of receiving a threatening letter from an Israeli terrorist organization three days ago that sentences the Mayor and his assistants to death for their efforts exerted in stopping settlement expansion and activities, and for their attempts to purchase pieces of land which are adjacent to settlements.

 

The visiting delegations comprised of representatives from Hebron Youth Club, Dental Association, Hebron's Directorate of Education, Hebron's Chamber of Commerce, Bani Na'im Municipality and other official figures of Hebron Governorate. The delegations underlined its support to the Mayor's national stances that aimed at confrontation the settlements activities and the Israeli violent practices against the citizens of Hebron.

 

The delegations said that the reason behind committing such a method to reach the Mayor is that the parties responsible for settlement and theft of Palestinian lands have the fear from a national force which prevents them from accomplishing their settlement   schemes.

 

The Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatari thanked the delegations for their supportive stances, and then said" we will not retreat our mission to protect and save the Palestinian lands, and we will confront these illegal attempts to steal our home which go against all international treaties and laws.
