    Mayor of Hebron Discusses the City's Conditions with Delegation of Representative Office of Canada


     The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, met Sidney Fisher, Counsellor and Head of Political Section in the Representative Office of Canada , who was accompanied by Kate Solomon, Political Officer,  with a view to discuss Hebron City's political situation and to get a first-hand view of the obstructions of which the city suffered.

    Dr. Zatari spoke about the settlement reality in the City of Hebron, and about the violent measures of the Israeli Occupation Authority, the division of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque, as well as the continuous closures that have been performed against the citizens who particularly lived in the Heart of Hebron's Old City.
     
    The Mayor underlined the bad impacts of restrictions that have been imposed by the Israeli Troops on the movement of the Hebron's inhabitants which inevitably upset the stability of the different aspect of life in Hebron.
     
    The Israeli control on the mobility of goods, the increasing of the unemployment rate, as well as the Israel's obstructions towards improving the Industry sector impede the economical development in the City of Hebron, said the Mayor.
     
    Moreover, Dr. Zatari added that the development in Hebron Municipality's mechanism of action throughout the past two years led up to develop the city's Infrastructure, and to improve the water sector by a partially solution of the ed quantity of water allocated to the city of Hebron, and that gained the citizens' satisfaction on the services provided by the municipality.
     
    Counselor Fisher expressed her appreciation on the municipality high level of providing services to cover the needs of the local which will undoubtedly improve their lively-hood conditions.
