The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, welcomed Mr. Issam Wahdan, a Palestinian Businessman expatriated in China. The meeting aimed at discussing cooperation well as investment opportunities with a view to strengthening ties with people in China. The meeting was also attended by Jawdi Abu Sneineh, Deputy Mayor of Hebron, Abbas Zaki, a Member of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, and the President of Al-Ahly Club.
After welcoming the delegation, Dr. Zatari spoke about political and security conditions in the city of Hebron, and spoke about Hebron Municipality, its strategic plan in the course of the upcoming years and its services provided to cover citizens' needs.
Dr. Zatari underlined the close ties between Hebron Municipality and the Government of China, and stressed Hebron's need for more investment projects which will provide job opportunities to recent graduated students, also, will curb the unemployment. Made Funds available from the Government of China to support the project of constructing a tunnel at the entrance of the city which will avoid any traffic jam was also among issues discussed in the meeting.
Mr. Zaki then praised the positive stances of the Government of China towards the Palestinian Cause and People, and expressed the Palestinian Leadership's willingness to promoting China-Palestine Partnership to attain public interest.
Mr. Wahdan expressed his happiness to visit Hebron, and thanked the mayor for the warm reception and hospitality. He underlined that there is no obstruction to obtain a grant from the China Government to supporting Palestinian Projects, and called for a long-term cooperation.
