The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, who was accompanied by Mohammad Imran Qawasmi, Dr. Salah al-Hussaini, Hebron's Municipal Members, as well as Yahia Natsheh, the Head of Protocol, took part in Khalil Al-Rahman Conference. The conference which was held in Urfa-Turkey aimed at honoring associations which are serving the local needs. The conference was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Wali (Governor) of Urfa, Izz Al-ddin Kojok, in addition to Jalal Al-Ddin Jonsh, Urfa Mayor.
The conference focused on issues that intended to provide the decent living conditions and to raise the livelihoods' levels of the citizens with a view to enhance the cities conditions.
On the Sidelines of the conference, Dr. Zatari thanked the mayor of Urfa for the warm reception and hospitality, and praising the positive effect of the conference on the participant cities.
Dr. Zatari also discussed the opportunity of activation of the twinning agreement signed between the cities of Hebron and Urfa. This agreement will play a main role in developing the both cities by sharing experiences in different field.
Dr. Zatari called the coming Khalil Al-Rahman Conference to be held in Hebron City, as it could introduce Hebron (the second oldest inhabited city in the world) to the Participant, and could show the ties between Urfa and Hebron.
On his Part, Jonsh expressed his happiness for the visit of Hebron Mayor and his companions, and his willingness to activate the agreement in order to enhance the both cities conditions. He then expressed his readiness to hold the coming conference in the Palestinians city of Hebron.
