In the attendance of members from Hebron's Municipal Council, the Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, welcomed the delegation and expressed happiness for their visit to Hebron. He briefly spoke about the political condition in the city and its division in to two parts, H1 and H2.

 

In context of enhancing the living condition of  the city, the attendances discussed the opportunities of strengthening cooperation between the two sides, and underlined the necessity of implementing  many development projects in the city of Hebron such as the Industrial zones, the Tunnel and Renewable Energy project.

 

Mayor Zatari, put lights on the recent developments of the Tunnel project which will be constructed at the Entrance of the city, and discussed the tunnel positive effects on the city and people, and called upon the Government of China to join efforts with a view to provide support for  mentioned projects , also, he spoke about the relation between the cities of Hebron and Yiwu which singed a twining agreement that could achieve public benefits through sharing experiences and projects.

 

On the other part, Ambassador Xingzhong expressed happiness for his visit to Hebron, and said that this visit strengthens ties with Hebron, which is considered as the largest Palestinian City. He also said that he is much interested in the mentioned projects, and promised to discuss it with experts in China and to endeavor to make funds available through the Government of China.

 

After the exchange of symbolic gifts, the two fine artistes Mr. Sameeh Abu Zakia, and Mr.  Yousef Katalo, honored the Ambassador for his support to the Palestinian Fine Artist. Then, the Ambassador and his accompanying delegation toured the Old City to get a view of the living condition of the citizens there.
