A delegation from Genoa Municipality chaired by Mr. Mario Margini, the Advisor of Genoa Mayor, visited Hebron Municipality to get a view of the new Department of Water and Sanitation before the official opening, and to discuss about the additional training courses for the municipality employees in Italy which aim at  increasing their capacity effectively.

 

The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari welcomed the delegation, and praised the role played by the Italian Government to support the Palestinians on  different levels, and mentioned the deep ties between the Municipalities of Genoa and Hebron that focus on enhancing the living conditions of Hebron City through implementing many vital projects, such as the Technology Park which will create many job opportunities for the graduate students and will curb the unemployment ratio.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Zatari spoke about the necessity of owning a Hydraulic Ladder that could rescue People and buildings at height above 40 meters in the emergency cases, and the necessity of solving issue regarding the slaughterhouse in Hebron.

 

Mr. Margini affirmed their support to the Palestinians, and their interest to promote economic relations with the city of Hebron. He also mentioned that the Expo Milan 2015 will  hold days to stand in solidarity with Palestinians. Mr. Margini then called the Mayor of Hebron to visit many factories in Genoa to embrace similar business and technologies in the Technology Park.

 

The delegation then made a visit to the new Department of Water and Sanitation, to get a view of the building and to  follow up  procedures related to the training courses.
