In the meeting with Abd-Alwahab Aljunaidi and Ziad Faraj from the Global Communities Institution, Mr. Maher Owaiwi, General Manager of Hebron Municipality, discussed the opportunity of succeeding the Disclosure and Communication policy project that keen to link between all Palestinian Municipalities well as the Municipal Councils.
This project targets 27 Palestinian Municipalities, and aims at engaging the local community in decision-making with a view to increase people awareness, to increase the transparency level of local Governance Institutions and to give communities confidence in municipalities.
The both sides have then shown a great commitment to form working groups in addition to hold many sessions and workshops gathered municipalities and local bodies in order to share experiences.
The project is expected to be terminated by the course of the coming five months, where a report will then be made to evaluate policies adopted by the local intuitions and municipalities.
