    A French Delegation Visits Hebron Municipality and Gets a View of the City Conditions


     In the meeting with the Deputy Mayor of Belfort City , Mr. Damien Messlo,  the Chairman of Hebron-French Association, Dr. Anwar Abu Eisheh, and the accompanied delegation, the Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari briefed them about the general situation of Hebron and discussed opportunities of promoting ties and cooperation in different fields. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Jawdi Abu Sneineh, Deputy Mayor of Hebron and members from Hebron Municipal Council.

    The Mayor welcomed the delegation and spoke about the history of the city ,the suffering of inhabitants due to occupation measures and practices, the obstructions faced by the Municipality worker staff during implementing developments in areas adjacent to the Ibrahimi Mosque in H2 area, and put lights on military barriers that obstruct the children while heading to schools.
     
    In other context, the Mayor spoke about the under implementation projects by Hebron Municipality , and referred to the municipal cultural and social affiliating centers that support Women and Youth. Then, Dr. Zatari underlined the need to support the Old City’s nomination for inion on UNESCO's World Heritage List.  
    Mr. Messlo expressed his willingness to strengthening  cooperation and enhance ties with Hebron Municipality through the exchange of experiences, cooperation in the fields of development as well as in other fields that serve the public interest.
     
    Dr. Abu Eisheh, then accompanied the delegation during their tour in the Old City , and It's worth mentioning that the two cities have a mutual  cooperation and twinning agreement that has been signed years ago.
