    Hebron Mayor Discussed Cooperation Opportunities with Turkey's Ambassador


     Hebron Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari discussed today with the Turkish Ambassador in Palestine, Mustafa Sarniç, the reality of Hebron City on the ground well as the opportunities of joint cooperation among the two Countries.  The meeting was also attended by Hebron Deputy Mayor, Jawdi Abu Sneineh, Hebron Municipal Council members and Mayor's Assistants.
     
    Dr. Zatari welcomed and lauded the visit of the Turkish Ambassador, then spoke about political and security conditions in Hebron's Old city, and daily Palestinian suffering due to Israeli occupation and settler practices.
     
    The Mayor of Hebron made general discussions on the municipal projects in the city, pointing to mutual projects between Hebron and the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in the context of enhancing the City's condition. He also stressed to exchange experiences in different fields and enhance joint cooperation among the two countries.
     
    Furthermore, Dr. Zatari spoke about the close ties between people and leaderships of both Turkey and Palestine, and touched to signing a twinning agreement between the Municipalities of Bursa and Hebron in mid-March.
     
    On his part, Sarniç expressed his willingness to promote cooperation and ties between Turkey and Palestine's Cities as well implementing further projects in the City of Hebron with a view to ensure a decent living condition for the citizens.
