Mr. Mohammad Imran Qawasmeh a Municipal Council Member and Bilal Muhtaseb a Public Relations employee at Hebron Municipality participated in a week of solidarity with Palestinians according to the Invitation from Saint Pierre Des Corps Municipality. They also intended to reviving the twinning agreement signed in 1980 in the era of the former Mayor of Hebron Mr. Fahed Qawasmeh.
Mr. Qawasmeh met Saint Pierre Mayor and 35 Municipal Council Members in which discussing the opportunity of signing a twinning agreement between the tow cities was among the issues have been addressed in the meeting. Mr. Qawasmeh underlined Hebron Municipality need to evolving the different sectors in the city to improve services for Palestinians.
At the beginning of the meeting, The Mayor of Saint Pierre welcomed the delegation of Hebron Municipality, stressed his interest in promoting partnerships between Hebron Municipality and French Municipalities given the close ties between both countries.
Mr. Qawasmeh thanked Saint Pierre Mayor and People of France for the warm reception and for their positive stance toward Palestinian Cause, " Hebron Municipality is readiness to enhance the joint cooperation in order to improving the strategic projects which served Hebron City and Citizens" He added. The Delegation of Hebron Municipality then toured the city where they visit the Youth Centers and Collages affiliate to Saint Pierre Municipality. Mr. Qawasmeh met with Collage's Deans where they make a discussing on Academic Field, He also spoke about Hebron City's need to enhance the Education Sector by implementing more schools to keep up with Students increasing.
Afterwards, Mr. Qawasmeh took apart in various activities, panels discussion and various exhibitions which centered on Palestinian Cause, and defending Palestinian rights in a full sovereign Palestinian State with the creation of Jerusalem as it Capital well as to exerting pressure on all relevant parties to ensure their support for Palestinians.
