    To Promote the Joint Cooperation Agreement, a Delegation of Manheim Visits Hebron City


     High level delegation of Manheim chaired by Dr. Peter Kurz, Mayor of Manheim, who was accompanied by many of Parliamentarians, Institutions' Heads well as Universities Presidents of Germany visited Hebron City in order to get a first hand view of Hebron's political condition reality on the ground and to foster the joint cooperation agreement between the two cities.
     
    A staff of Hebron Municipality that comprised Hebron Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatari, Hebron's Municipal Council members and other municipal staff hosted the visited delegation and noting to the importance of the German Delegation three-day Visit to Hebron in promoting the joint projects aimed at improving the citizens' quality of life, thus in exchanging the experience between Manheim and Hebron.
     
    After screening a short-documentary film about Hebron City, the Mayor Zatari made discussions on the plight and suffers of Hebron's Old City as a result of the Israeli Occupation's extreme acts of violence and settlers' presence in its heart, he also spoke about the Israeli soldiers' ill-treatment for the Old City's children particularly students. "The Israeli Occupation on Palestine is illegal, inhuman and goes against all international treaties and laws that call for freedom of people and societies, and we implore freedom-loving people and anybody with a conscious to boycott Israel and to end the illegal Occupation in order to support rights guaranteed by International laws" he added. Dr. Zatari then lauded the stances of Palestine's Ladership chaired by president Mahmoud Abbas which aimed at achieving fair and just peace by the tow-state solution following the UN's decisions which will come to fail as long as the continuity of settlement activities as well as the excessive use of force by the Israelis such Assassinationand murder attempts against the Palestinians.
     
    Along the meeting, Dr. Zatari stressed on the necessity of construction a German School in Hebron deals with vocational and technical specializations to ensure improving the Palestinians human capabilities in addition to developing the industrial zone in the city.
     
     
    Both Delegations then toured the Old City where they visited Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC), and it's worth mentioning that the visited delegation will make a visit to many schools in the Old City and a visit to the municipal industrial school.
