The Italian Delegation which consisted of experts from Turin and Milano wrapped up its six-day visit to Hebron City. Its visit purposed at discussing the first-phase of the Hebron Innovation Technology Park (HITECH); a joint project in cooperation with Turin Municipality.
In the last meeting, Dr. Antonio La Rocca, PMSP Program Director, showed Dr. Daoud Zatari, the Mayor of Hebron, the study results of the project's first-phase. The meeting was also attended by members from Hebron's Municipal Council, the Mayor's Assistants and by Ayman Sultan from PPU.
Dr. Zatari praised the delegation exerted efforts along its visit, and underlined the significance of the project in giving the youth the opportunity to carry out their creative ideas on the ground, and in curbing the unemployment by increasing job opportunities.
Morover, Dr. Zatari stressed the importance of cooperation with the local institutions particularly with the universities, and stressed the need for an effective training for the cadres as they play a main role for the project success.
Dr. La Rocca thanked the mayor for the joint cooperation that would attain the public interest for both Palestinian as well as Italian.
It's worth mentioning that the municipality made a visit program for the Italian delegation that included visits to the universities, institutions, and to the Technology Park proposed site. Workshops to meet with a staff from the PPU as well as a staff of Engineers from Hebron Municipality were also included in the visit program.
