Hebron Deputy Mayor Mr. Jawdi Abu Sneineh met today with a German delegation chaired by Manfred Kock the president of Cologne-Bethlehem Twinning Association, the delegation included Experts, Academics, Engineers, Lawyers , and Doctors from Cologne City. The Meeting was also attended by Dr. Raghad Dweik and Dr. Roshdiyeh Abu Hadid Members of Municipal Council .
After welcoming the delegation , Mr. Abu sneineh described the economic and historical importance of Hebron as well as its traditional industries . He also Spoke about the political condition of Hebron City in addition to division the city in to tow parts H1 and H2 which prevents Hebron Municipality from improving its services .
Mr. Abu sneineh touched on daily Palestinian Suffering due to Israeli Occupation and violation under the pretext of protecting the settlers , he also mentioned the obstacles that Old City's Inhabitants face through there visiting to Ibrahim Mosque, and he raised the issue of closing Al Shuhada' Street and preventing Traders from working there . " Hebron Municipality is working to execute developmental projects such alternative energy project and constructing an industrial city specialized in IT, and building a Museum to safeguard the Palestinian identity in the Old city " He said.
Mr. Kock thanked the deputy mayor for the warm reception and hospitality , he expressed his readiness to cooperate with Hebron Municipality in the project of alternative energy and he then underlined the need for a fair and decent living for Hebron City as other Cities of the World .
