Hebron Deputy mayor Mr. Jawdi Abu Sneineh met with Patricia Daugherty , the representative of World Towns Organization and Jane casa , the representative of Chico City  . The meeting which was also attended by Dr. Raghad Dweik , and Prof. Awni Natsheh " Members of municipal council " , as well as  Maher Owaiwi the general manager  discussed the opportunity of signing a twinning agreement  between Hebron and Chico City.

 

After welcoming the delegation , Mr. Abu Sneineh expressed  the interest of Municipal  council  for joint cooperation with world countries to exchange  expertise and to deliver  Palestinian daily suffering due to Israeli Occupation and Settlers practices and violation against Palestinian inhabitants . He underlined the need of achieving  justice  to ensure inhabitants rights in decent living . " We recommend the positive stance of American people in supporting the Palestinian Case which is considered on the contrary of the Policy of American Governance " he added .

 

Dr. Dweik stressed that Municipal Council seeks to success the twinning agreement with Chico city that suits with the Strategic plan of  Hebron Municipality to achieve the prosperity of the city throughout exchanging expertise .

 

Mrs. Daugherty touched on the objectives of world towns organization which aims to raise human rights and to refuse the violation against people . " We are working on publicizing  Israeli Occupation practices and in the same time enhancing the capacity of Palestinian by multinational volunteers  , we all believe in the Illegitimacy of Israeli Occupation and in achieving a full sovereigns Palestinian State " She said.

 

By the end of the meeting, the attendances exchanged the Souvenirs  and then they had a tour to the Old City and Ibrahim Mosque .
