    Hebron Municipality Participated In International Conference On Learning Cities in Beijing


     Dr. Raghad Dweik, Municipal Council member, took part in the International Conference on Learning Cities held in Beijing. The Conference, whichwas hosted by China’s Ministry of Education, focused on lifelong education and Learning For All. It was attended by UNESCO member states, heads of Chinese institutions, representatives from municipalities as well as CEOs from various countries.

    Issues discussed included the role of Learning Cities in promoting strategies for modern and developed cities, the role of education in ensuring the prosperity of cities and enhancing social ties, the characteristics of Learning Cities as well as the exchange of knowledge amongst cities to achieve knowledge integration between cultures.
     
    “The Conference helped exchange experiences and knowledge amongst participants. It also enhanced ties and cooperation between municipalities from different countries. Moreover, a forum held especially for mayors discussed the future of lifelong Learning Citiesfor all”, Dr. Dweik said.
    Dr. Dweik also met with numerous mayors to promote joint relations and cooperation with Hebron Municipality.
