The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, who was accompanied by The Chairman of Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Mr. Mohammad Ghazi Herbawi , have met with many officials in the United States of America with a view to brief them of the critical situation of Hebron, and of the citizens suffering of the Israeli Occupation  illegal practices and measures.

 

In corporation with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) which was represented by Mr. Omar Faqih, many meetings were held with USAID, State Department and with officials from the Congress  and the Senate. These meetings were aimed at putting lights on the affected citizens and their bad living conditions under the current situation of Hebron City, requesting of financial support for many development projects in Palestine, also, at urging some congress members to help in providing further support to the city of Hebron and to release funds allocated by the USA government to Palestinian cities through the USAID, which will enhance the economic development of Palestine.

 

Moreover, additional meetings with International institutions in the US will be held also by the context of this week, to discuss the opportunity of improving the infrastructure of Palestinian cities, which will surely provide a better  living condition for the inhabitants.
