Hebron Municipality issued a statement condemning a letter that reached the Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari. The letter which is marked by Israeli terrorist organization calling itself (Pulsa Di Nura Committee) states that a court ,which's affiliated to the organization, has sentenced the Mayor to death as he's anti-Semitic, and refuses to recognize the incident of killing the three settlers in Hebron.
The closed envelope also contained another letter directed to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, as he threatens Israel's security, and is considered as a Nazi. The letter asked Dr. Zatari to transfer the enclosed letter to President Abbas.
The letter underlined that the verdict will take place soon by infecting the convicts with a powerful virus. So, competent experts revealed the existence of a poster on the back of the letter carries an unknown type of virus which led to transfer Mayor's Office staff to Al-Ahli Hospital, also, Dr. Zatari and his assistants underwent medical examinations. Thereafter, the letter has been transferred to the Medical Center Laboratory with a view to find out the type of the virus.
Hebron Municipality recalled what has happened in the late seventies, when Israeli terrorist group proceeded to the assassination of Palestinian Mayors who were representing the elected national list.
Mayor Zatari stressed that these attempts will not prevent him from continuing his supportive stances toward reviving the Old city in Hebron, and fronting the settlement activities and practices.
"These attempts prove that the Israelis have the fear of ending the Occupation and of creating the fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and they don't have the ability to face the political trends of President Mahmoud Abbas to debunking Israeli Propaganda, said the Mayor.
Hebron Municipality is seeking at exerting efforts to prosecute those responsible for that terrorist approach in cooperation with the Palestinian Leadership.
