    Municipalities of Hebron and Genoa Honor Participants of Human Resources Capacity Development Training Courses


     A delegation from Genoa City chaired by Dr. Mario Margini, the former Deputy Mayor of Genoa, visited Hebron city and met with its Mayor, Dr. Daoud Zatari, to discuss further mutual cooperation and to attend the ceremony of distribution certificates for Hebron Municipality Staff who took part in training courses in fields of Human Resources and Management of water and sanitation labs. These courses were held in Hebron as well as in Genoa cities.

    The ceremony which was organized at the Korea Palestine Center was attended by the Italian vice-Consul, Mr. Federico Dimonopoli, the Director of Hebron Directorate of Local Government, Mr. Rasheed Awad, and the Director of PMSP, Dr. Antonio La Rocca. The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Zatari welcomed the attendees, and praised the visit of the Italian Delegation to Hebron. He underlined the deep relation between the two cities, and thanked the Italian People and Government of Italy for their role played in supporting the Palestinians particularly the city of Hebron.
     
    Dr. Zatari then touched on the Technology Park project (a mutual project with Italian partners) and put lights on the recent developments of the project progress.
    Thereafter, Mr. Awad thanked the Italian Government for providing support to Palestinian Municipalities projects that led to the enhancement of the Palestinian economy and other sectors.
     
    On the other part, Mr. Margini, praised the joint cooperation between the cities of Genoa and Hebron. He assured that their Municipality is intending to deepen the relation with the Municipality of Hebron particularly in the administrative fields and  to continue cooperation with the Water Department, " the municipality of Genoa is endeavoring to promote the ties between the Palestinian and Italian companies, to improve the living conditions of the Palestinians as well as to alleviate of their suffering" he added.
     
    The Vice-Consul appreciated the role of Genoa Municipality and PMSP for supporting the water sector in the city, and affirmed that the Italian Consulate will continue provide support to the Technology Park.
     
    By the end of the ceremony, the certificates were distributed to the participants.
