With a view to promote ties between Palestine and Turkey as well as to develop the Agriculture Sector in Hebron which support the local economic development ,  a delegation of Hebron Municipality chaired by the Mayor Dr. Daoud Zatari participated in the International Conference of Agricultural cities that held in Konya City. The delegation comprised of the Ambassador of Palestine to Turkey Dr. Faed Mustafa, Mr. Yahia Natsheh, Director of Media and Public Relation, and Eng. Salah Mujahed, the Head of Agriculture Department.

During the Conference, the Mayor gave a speech about the General Condition of the City of Hebron, and referred to challenges that face Agriculture  Sector in Palestine. He also praised the role played by the Turkish Government particularly the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in providing support to development projects in Palestine. Thereafter, the Delegation participated in Exhibition of Agricultural Equipment, Technologies and Materials .

In the course of the Delegation visit to Turkey, they met with the Vice-Chairman of TIKA where Dr. Zatari called to support vital projects in Hebron such as the project of  establishment  for Physiotherapy Centre in the Southern Area of Hebron.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Municipality of Kecioren organized a celebration in the attendance of the Mayor of Hebron and the accompanied delegation, the Mayor of Kecioren ,  the Turksih Ambassador to Palestine and other representative of Turkish associations, where Hebron Municipality received a multi purposes water tank as a gift from the Municipality of Kecioren, and it is worth mentioning that a twinning agreement were signed between the two municipalities.
