    Abu Sneineh Signs Cooperation Agreement with Manhiem Municipality with a Guarter of a Million Eurosg


    Germany- Manhiem - Mayor of Hebron, Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh, signed a cooperation agreement with the Mayor of Manhiem, Mr. Peter Kurz, for the benefit of the Business Incubators Center at Hebron Municipality valued at a quarter of a million euros. This was in the attendance of the Head of the Service Agency Communities in One World, Engagement Global Dr. Stefan Wilhelmy, Members from Manhiem's municpal council and a delegation of Hebron Municipality.

    The agreement includes establishing of a working area to provide services for entrepreneurs in the field of information technology and electronic applications, furnishing of the site and equipping it with the most advanced appliances, as well as holding different training programs for the staff who works in the business incubator center at Hebron municipality, and for the entrepreneurs of students and startups companies, and theses training courses will be held in the two cities.   .

    The project implementation period will be for two years, started from 1-1-2018 till 31-12-2019 at Korea- Palestine center, a municipal facility. In the next phase, the tender for computer equipment and related accessories will be offered. The project value which reaches € 250,000 is provided by the Global Engagement Institute. 

    On his side, Dr. Kurz welcomed the delegation of Hebron Municipality, and assured the deep ties between the cities of Hebron and Manheim. He also briefed the delegation about the general situation of Manheim, and the projects recently implemented in the city.

    In his speech, Mr. Abu Sneineh expressed happiness for his fruitful visit to Manheim. He spoke about the political situation in Hebron, the daily violation perpetrated against the citizens by the Israeli Occupation and settlers, and illegal Israeli barriers that obstruct the local development and the movement particularly in the Old city of Hebron.

    Mr. Abu Sneineh outlined the cultural heritage of Hebron city, and referred to economic condition of the city and touched on the industries known to Hebron. Moreover, he noted to the Hebron Strategic development Plan (SDIP) for the years of 2018-2021, which needed support to be implemented on the ground. He also indicated to the mutual projects between the two municipalities especially in field of Business Incubators. Then, he thanked the Mayor of Manhiem and the staff of Global Engagement for their cooperation.  

    Dr. Wilhelmy underlined the interest of his institution in such development projects, stressing that these projects were very useful and successful, pointing out that the projects could not succeed without the political support of the mayor of Manhiem.  

    Therafter, Eng. Jumana Dweik, Director of Business Incubators at Hebron Municipality, and Mr. Christian Sommer, Director of Business Incubators Group in Manheim presented the joint projects between the two cities as well as the details of the current project and its importance to the entrepreneurs with creative ideas in Hebron.
